Fabiano de Souza Ramos is a director and producer, born in São Paulo, Brazil. In the center of Sao Paulo, to be precise. Among buildings, pollution and noise, he started his amateur theatre and film work. He studied Social Communication and Performing Arts in Theatre, film and TV. And he stepped up into stages with the most influential theatre companies in Sao Paulo, such as Teatro da Vertigem ,Parlapatoes , Patifes e Paspalhoes, Os Satyros e Grupo Macunaima (Centro de Pesquisa Teatral).  In film, he started as a trainee in O2 Filmes, where he took part in films such as Domesticas and City of God. With no idea that he was participating in one of the most influential films of the century, he was inexorably in love with film making. From a trainee to a producer in Sao Paulo Fashion Week, and working in different production companies   from 1999 to 2008, London called.

And as easy as that, he was living (literally) in a theatre in Brick lane and doing his Master in Directing for Film and TV, at Westminster University. This was around 2010. That theatre became not only his home but provided priceless opportunities to work as an executive producer for numerous installations of art, theatrical plays and feature films, such as We will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, directed by Woody Allen. Basically, Mr. Allen shot part of his film in my living room. 

In his work in film, his short films have been selected for over 40 festivals worldwide, and as a special guest, was summoned to the Festival du Cannes (Marche du Film), Art Europalia Festival (Belgium), Cyprus Film Festival (Cyprus Island), Limelight International Film Awards (England), amongst others. With the short film Jesus Saves, he won the Young Talent prize in CIFFT 2011 in Florianopolis, Brazil.

As a guest artist, he was part of the Gesamt Project (Copenhagen, Denmark, 2012), installation directed by Lars von Trier and Jenle Hallund, which is currently in France, Finland, Stockholm and Denmark. In 2014, he was one of the selected filmmakers for The Talents Buenos Aires, a program sponsored by the Berlin International Film Festival, Berlinale.

Sometimes, he sleeps and cooks for his wife.
